SupaJam Canterbury opened its doors in 2019 and is a thriving college with up to 50 students close to Canterbury city centre.
Like all our campuses Canterbury has recording studios, podcast and radio facilities, Apple Logic Pro suites, video and photography and a fantastic music rehearsal space.
Our easy connections to London and the rest of West Kent means our students benefit from regular work experience trips to concerts, musical theatre and local events.
“Hi my name is Lindsay and I am the College Leader here in Canterbury. I am extremely passionate about embracing individuality, ensuring our students get the most out of their SupaJam journey. Come join the fun!”
Our Canterbury Curriculum
The young people at SupaJam are at the heart of our curriculum and our intent is to prepare our learners for adulthood and their next steps.
Through our curriculum we teach relevant vocational and English and Maths skills with a focus on their application in the music industry. We deliver these in a sequenced, supportive and accessible way so that all learners, regardless of need, can access course content and reach their full potential. We encourage our learners’ personal development through building independence and skills to thrive in the community.
The Machine Room
Already an important feature in everyday SupaJam life, The Machine Room is our very own radio station and podcast suite.
In November 2021 we launched our brand new radio station SupaJam Radio. This has now evolved into full DJ led shows.
In 2021, we launched The Machine Room and since then the students have recorded over 130 podcasts, including flagship shows such as 'The Last Poet on Earth' and 'Education, There is Another Way'.
