On February 24th 2025, SupaJam Education in Music and Media invited guests to the grand unveiling of their latest college in Wandsworth, marking the fourth addition to their growing
network across the South East. The event was a testament to the impact SupaJam has had,
and will continue to have, on education and the communities it creates.
The evening’s highlight came when Hannah White, a multi award winning musician and long
time friend of SupaJam, shared the powerful story of how SupaJam Swanley supported her
son during a difficult time. “His behaviour was so challenging that he was kicked out of
homeschooling groups,” Hannah recalled.
“SupaJam helped me realise that my son didn’t need to be changed - he just needed support.”
Her heartfelt words resonated deeply with the room, prompting a spontaneous round of applause that represented the unspoken understanding of parents and carers for whom that sentiment is long overdue. Hannah proudly shared that her son is now stable, happy, in his final year of a music degree, and even in a relationship—an outcome she never imagined possible before SupaJam’s care.
The heartfelt speech was followed by a stunning performance from Hannah and her partner
Kieron Marshall, an equally talented award winning musician. Their intimate ballads, filled
with raw emotions and soulful Americana sounds, captivated the audience. While their first
song conveyed a message of resilience, it also carried a sense of poignant sadness, leaving
the crowd immersed in its moving melodies. The performance beautifully underscored the
power and importance of community in overcoming adversity.

The Wandsworth Open Evening was a resounding success, with students, parents, and
professionals given an exclusive opportunity to tour the impressive new campus. Building
highlights included the dynamic and inspiring studio and control room, designed to foster
community and experimentation in a safe, supportive environment. Guests also explored
spacious classrooms equipped with top-of-the-line production gear, ready to inspire students
to learn and create.
The event buzzed with an electric atmosphere, as both external professionals and SupaJam
staff shared their valuable insights, helping prospective students and parents understand the
unique educational experience SupaJam offers.
SupaJam Wandsworth owes part of its existence to a chance encounter at the Black Deer
Festival, where a local Wandsworth professional discovered SupaJam’s student-led stage
and was inspired by the work being done. The timing couldn’t have been more perfect, with
Wandsworth named this year’s London Borough of Arts and Culture, celebrating the area’s
rich diversity and creative industries.
With everything falling into place, the future of SupaJam Education in Wandsworth feels truly cosmic.
Excited to see it for yourself? Join us for our next Open Evening on March 20th, 2025, from
2 pm to 5 pm. We can't wait to welcome you!
